Yes shorts have been steadily going down as the price has been making new highs- Makes perfect sense - The flip side is there maybe now others interested in going short here just as the longs are betting is undervalued there will be others who think its fully priced or overpriced at this point in time.
The shortman data is delayed by 4 days we will have to wait and see where they stand at the end of next week to encompass todays large X trade.
Also "if" it is a borrow they dont have to short sell them as soon as they borrow them .
