I think the ceo is trying to build scale by investing in people tech and marketing. For a capital intense business this is usually capex on the cash flow and not on the profit and loss statement. For a tech company to grow rapidly it's going to lower its margins. I think I'm ok with this for now if they can grow the top line at 20% p.a without profit going backwards. Maybe a PE ratio isn't the most appropriate metric given the strategy ?
