Hamsa, from what I have researched there is no comparable product on the market which gives concrete the mechanical properties at a nanoscale level when using CNT’s. Eden Innovations own the IP for carbon nanotubes in concrete.
Under a microscope the CNT can be in the form of a single or multilayer spaghetti like perforated tube that when mixed wth cement particles and fly-ash acting as the glue they bind and interweave with neighbouring aggregates keying in and locking the formulation of concrete together.
The flexural strength is obtained by trying to pull or bend the high strength CNT’s apart from its interwoven bond.
This is the massive standout difference with all other products on the market which are basically other similar sized particles alongside cement particles which rely on point contact bonding resulting in inferior mechanicalproperties.
Hope this helps people understand.
