Chokdee glad you see nascent improvement in China property. US has similar problems to work through in office caused by pandemic and reluctance to return to office post Covid. Of all the office space in Manhattan only approximately 50% is reported to be occupied when leases roll over the general trend is for companies to take less if they remain at all. Obviously this puts a huge strain on landlords who cannot then pay their mortgages and then the loan must be restructured. This is happening in every major city in America. At the same time those buildings cannot be repurposed for the most part into multi family where there is a need. At the same time the tax base shrinks and cities do not have the funds to provide basic services and immigrants continue to make their way into the country. Nationally there is a concern over budget deficits and impact on US dollar backing up interest rates. Seems like we may be at a pivot point to the future in so many places in the world where the pivot is to a new electric and low carbon future where there is room for all nations in the energy transition. Hopefully Mr. Putin will not continue to sell his country down the drain. We all need to get on with the business of going to Mars and beyond while we still can.
