    Good point, is the problem too much water production, sand shouldn't be a problem as well completion technique should have made allowances for the wonderful unconsolidated Puffin sandstones.

    Gas lift might help? Well before answering that questions a quick review on gas lift.

    Why do you use gas lift? Gas lift is a fantastic way of increasing oil production when you have limited pressure drive from the oil field. This normally means lack of a significant gas cap or water pressure below oil water contact.

    I would be surprised that the Puffin field doesn’t have a good water drive as the reservoir has super permeability.

    So will gas lift help, yes if the gas lift replaces or mitigates the assumed water coning? If not I do not expect AED to get any where near the 30,000 bopd. There only hope will be the increased in oil price versus the time the project was sanctioned.
