The control arm was a different drug to the Phase II (IRI alone in Phase II; FOLFIRI in Phase III). As I understand it FOLFIRI medians have historically been between 4.5 to 5 months.
Still, there are many, many 'how comes?' to answered about this trial, but in my current dazed state I can't quite find the words to articulate them. The indications of so much (seemingly objective) analysis pointed to a positive outcome.
However, that was not to be and it may take some time to get to the bottom of why not.
