Wasn't the PFS of the control group 2.4 months in the Ph2? And control was 5.5 weeks in this trial. And you would have been thinking that they needed 6 weeks on the 2.4m - so 4 months to meet the primary endpoint?
It is still very possible that the drug works. Alternatively the protocol for treating the control group was not followed very well in the Ph2? Many other scenarios come to mind too.
I have nothing against Russia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine - but having lived and worked in the region for a year some time ago - I wouldn't eat imported food from these countries unless it is very basic stuff. I have low trust in these nations, through my experiences. I think they should have spent the extra money to have locations that benefit a bit more from the rule of law. Is it possible that those administering in these regions could tell which patients were getting the real deal - and sympathised with the patients? Lots of things come to my mind. Conversely - in the Ph2 - was anybody keen to get more work? Just throwing it out there - not wanting to impugn any nations character - as there are lots of great professional and incorruptible people in those countries too with very strong character to stand up to the corruption there.
