"Today's report shows that the planned depth to which the 12 and a quarter inch hole will go is now 4060 metres. Apparently the drill plan changes as they go along, depending on the drilling people. ( And, I would think, on the geology) Fredericks said that he expected that the completion of H3 in January is still on plan. He indicated that with the 8 and a half inch drill bit they expect significantly higher penetration rates. He didn't know the drillers' current expectation of where the granite contact is, but it was evident that he expected H3 to be (well?) into the granite by the time of the next progress report.
Importantly he was upbeat about how much better the drill was no performing. I didn't ask, he volunteered the info. I gained the impression that the head office people are very happy with the present performance."
