Pleased to expand on a portion of my sweeping statements-there was ifs and butts. In 1988 Red Adare extinguished the flare on the Piper Alpha U.K.,It is my belief this was a casing-borehole leak and it was sealed by the injection of concrete into an offending area.(under water) -------Now gas wells arent geothermal holes and visa versa but angle drilling and using some fancy polmer etc could be a start; concrete later.------consistant with my optimism is the fact that a finite amount of water was in the bore hole and in the cleats etc. and will be boiled off allowing the powers that be to take a less risky and a cheaper? coarse of action........................Is this proven science ?.......... dont know
