If you ever drive from the NT to WA, your car will be stopped at the border and they will ask you if you have fresh fruits or veggies, plants etc..
They will check your vehicle if they have any doubts and if they find something, they will fine you.
I believe it would be the same going from SA to WA.
This applies to all modes of transportation and they are really thorough with this.
It sucks but this is the law in WA
