It always makes me laugh a little bit, How when a market trend continues for more 1 to 2 years all of a sudden people believe that trend will never be reversed. There where those who acutally believed the bubble would never burst. Now I suspect their the same ones that think the GFC won't end.
The fact of the matter is MDT is very profitable this hasn't been hugely effective by the GFC profit wise.
If you take into consideration that you don't lose money on property until you sell it. It seems pretty crazy to me to sell after record write downs and one of the weekest commerical markets ever seen in the US.
My view and seems the view of the directors would be to hold properties sell only those required to keep lenders at bay. Ride out the GFC and return dividence once this has been completed.
You got to ask yourself selling all MDT asset at this point is that good for all shareholder or just the ST traders who want out. The SP is at 10c and NTA is 36c. There is a good reason for this. ST realise this is a long term play and so they won't touch it. If you prepared to sit and wait I doubt there is anyone who would deny it won't pay off.
It always makes me laugh a little bit, How when a market trend...
