    I would add that a sedentary lifestyle adds to it by significantly reducing ones metabolism. Exercise is important. I think if you exercise regularly you also spend less time thinking about food.

    It's all about lifestyle change. Notice that the majority of Biggest Loser contestants put all their weight back on? It's because the lifestyle change is not realistic or sustainable. Controlled eating and a sustainable exercise regime will almost always give weight benefits. It's mostly psychological.
