The current per block rate in Western Australia ( all houses are constructed from maxi blocks and bricks are only used for front veneers) is $1.50 per block ( $1.30 per brick). On average a team of bricklayers consisting of minimum 2 to maximum 6 persons will lay anywhere from 400 to 2000 blocks per day. Daily cost for said labour ranges from $600- $3000. There are too many variables in the equation to have a definite sum.
Are they laying blocks or bricks?
Are they laying straight run walls or joins/pillars etc?
Is scaffolding set up around premises or are they continually moving A frames around? which is time consuming
Some even work on per hour wages.
Not a simple equation to work out average rates unfortunately.
