You do realise most shares drop on placements, it's not a Cannacord thing, you really need some solid hype to counter the raise fall.
Add to that Scidev had been falling sharply into the placement from $1, so had no hype.
There's a lot of things you can blame cannacord for, but the scidev placement ain't it
