When I was there seals it was jaw dropping to see people doing half my workload, and getting an extra 50% on top of what I was getting when I was there (about 55K they were on).
One guy had pretty well the worst results in the office, and used to get up and take a 10 min break every hour, and while the phone wasn't ringing he was reading the newspaper all day. When I left, I said to management "how come he gets away with this?" ... and the reply was basically that it's too hard to get rid of him because of the union. Good to see communism alive and well like that in the work place. Suggesting that everyone is equal in ability and the way they should be treated is one thing, but when you're trying to say that he deserves as much money as the next 'comrade' for putting in half the effort, and being supported for that is ridiculous ... it failed for the russians in the end!
