Halal Certification

Since food safety is normally controlled by State or Federal departments.

Why can't a member of these department be trained up to certify Halal compliance?

They can be Muslim's, Jew's or Christian who are classified as competently trained for certification purposes.

This would remove suspicion where monies are going to suspect organisation. Instead it would benefit the whole community and remove the suspicious motive of our Muslim community.

My understanding is that Jewish standards are similar to Muslim food standards(?)
