I don't know what the tax arrangements are for Halal ,if it is tax free it should stop as should the tax free arrangements for all religions.
What he is taking out for him self should also be transparent,he was asked if any money goes to Mosques and his reply was I can spend my money where I want so it unclear what are the financial arrangements.
