People feel like they're worse off simply because the family home isn't going up 20% pa like we are used to. Shows how important it is for the government to keep manipulating.
Abbott's wrong. The cost of living ie.. Housing associated costs, insurance, utilities, rates, body corp fees etc has gone up sharply, that, combined with so many more things to waste money on.
The amount of restaurants and cafe's and suppliers going bust in Melbourne has risen dramatically and it's not only that people are more cautious with spending there is just too many crap businesses out there that have sprung up in the past 5 years serving ordinary food at inflated prices with little or no service. If its those sorts of businesses closing then it's a good thing.
