    almost got it right with the .3% forecast .... i obviously have witnessed the banks behavior over the last 4 years so it was easy . They raise more on the way up and reduce by less on the way down. Has this always been the case is my question? I did not notice it in the early 2000's but I was not looking.

    "NAB today reduced its mortgage rates by 32 basis points, becoming the first major bank to react to yesterday's surprise cut by the RBA.

    The reduction, which is 18 basis points below the Reserve Bank of Australia's 50bp move, is likely to save customers $80 a month on an average mortgage.

    National Australia Bank's standard variable rate will fall from 7.31 per cent to 6.99 per cent, effective from Friday.
