Well I pay over $200K a year in income tax and get $%^& all back apart from the medicare component of health services. Some of us are carrying not just our own families but umpteen others.
Note I don't have a negative geared property, I save 15% tax on my $25k super contribution ($3750) and I save very little from income splitting. Sorry to dispel the myth but the amount of taxed saved by all the strategies that many on here drone on about is bugger all in comparison to what I do pay.
I guess the $3750 that I do save on super could go to some bludgers to spend on grog or put in the pokies. Or it could go to some family which has adults who couldn't be bothered to make the most of their education and now have shitty low paid jobs.
