Yeah, the "secured" funding arrangement you mentioned IMO would be the case of the competing bids. Otherwise, it would be a simple open-and-shut case of rapid elimination.

I think 2 seperate consortium may be in the mix apart from the Chinese state bid.

For this reason, I believe the structure would be such that if the successful party snaps up 100% of the asset, it would effectively result in a corporate level transaction and cheques in the mail.

To be fair to Sundance board and management, the delays or failure to meet with previous deadlines were amostly entirely Chinese fun and games and manouvering (once China lost exclusivity). Now we have regained control.
