Can't see anything in this report we were unaware of.
Some thoughts re the naysayer's and comparsion with MBN and the like.
Yes Discovery is in trouble however it knows what has to be done to bring down costs. You cannot control the price of Cu but with good management production costs can be reduced...better mine management involving logistical decisions regarding overburden removal and placement and ore selection don't require capital...just nous. Higher quality ore is now more readily available. A new manager is in place and lets hope we see improvement.
To recapitalise is not such a bad thing if you know how to spend it in order to bring down costs. Someone previously posted that they hope a coal fired power station is factored into the budget. I totally agree rather than the old money sucking inefficient diesel units they currently use.
The latest drilling confirms that it is a cracker of a deposit...if drilling results were downgrading it would be a concern...they are not.
Pondering...I believe the Botswana Gov't would love to see Discovery to continue to develop and prosper in this quite corner of this little land locked nation that is doing so well. I would like to see Discovery create more jobs for the locals and make bonza profits thus increasing tax revenue for the country to enable more schools hospitals and the like to be built thus raising the well being of all (that includes us shareholders!)
Everyone can be a winner in this story...if you have the nerve.
