Interesting to read within the half year result, the following as stated by the new chairman:
"The increase in revenue, together with efficient capital management achieved by farming
out some of the Company's 100% owned exploration acreage for drilling undertakings, is
allowing the Company to commit to further evaluation of the Company's potentially higher
value assets at Hurricane and Kimu, and at the same time look for additional exploration and
production opportunities".
Note the comment re: is allowing the company to commit to further evaluation at Kimu.
There has been prior announcements about further evaluation re: hurricane but nothing about MOS Kimu's interest.
Note also the following from a recent OSH ann:
Other complementary activities
Significant expansion of appraisal and
exploration programme for gas
Juha wells
Kimu
Korobosea
Barikewa
Mogulu
Aimed at increasing contractable gas
If MOS have had discussions with OSH re: Kimu and there is something underway with Kimu development, it will no doubt have a positive affect on the MOS SP.
I think with so much exploration happening in the next 6 months as well as COE's still hidden motives, MOS should be closely watched in the near term. Especially leading up to Hurricane.
