there are plenty of mills that use only (or a majority) E nitens. Australian Paper Maryvale mill, many S American mills and a number of Japanese companies utilise E.nitens as that is the best available species to them.

The species is fine and better than many alternatives.

The issue is that while Australia currently has enormous supplies of available E.globulus the E.nitens product is less desirable...hence it becomes a question of pricing. And when the global market is oversupplied generally, then the available customers will almost always choose E.globulus first.
