Interestingly, during the late 1930s and much of the 40s, Gold:Oil ratio was around 30+-5.
Think this hints at fair value being 1 bbl = 1 gram, also reached in late 98 & 09. Wouldn't be surprised if it eventually settles there long term. Hopefully that info exempts update of the chart...
