I actually saw movie version of this 2011 production along with
Ana Netrebko’s “Anne Boylen” (another one for the chop) in Saint Petersburg when there in 2012.
I must have lost a kilo or two watching through Tsar Boris’ deathly convulsions.

Alas, our 'Tsarina' is not likely to go through such slimming exercise any time soon.
