Here's a thread to focus on the research of Halloysite and the current /future applications of this material.

After ADN was brought to my attention I thought it was mostly a HPA play.
I found this basic primer on HPA (High Purity Alumina) very interesting...
    https://*********.com.au/high-purity-alumina-stocks-asx-ultimate-guide/

HPA in it'self isn't a mineral but, a material that's processed from Kaolin (which is a VERY common mineral) to make HPA.
HPA itself can be produced many different ways but, Kaolin seem to be the most environmentally friendly and more important...cheaper.

However, with success in investing...if you deep a little deeper and DYOR you'll figure out trends and future demand before the market does. If you can do that?
You can maybe find the 30-50+ baggers.

After researching ADN I noticed it's Kaolin feedstock was higher GRADE.
(The higher the grade the easier and more cost effective it is to make HPA.)

Yet, not only was ADN's Kaolin high grade...it was blended in with this thing called Halloysite.

    Halla who?

Well, Halloysite is extremely rare or should I say...(and this is VERY important to understand)
    HIGH GRADE Halloysite is rare.
There only appears to be 4-5 high grade occurrences of it on the planet.

*Even high grade commercial Kaolin is rare. Where non-commercial Kaolin is extremely common all over the planet.

    Current uses of pure Halloysite...
    This from Wikipedia...
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halloysite

Highly pure halloysite is mined from a rhyolite occurrence in New Zealand. Its uses include porcelain and bone china.[13][14][15][16]
Halloysite is an efficient adsorbent both for cations and anions. It has also been used as a petroleum cracking catalyst, and Exxon has developed a cracking catalyst based on synthetic halloysite in the 1970s.[17] Owing to its structure, halloysite can be used as filler in either natural or modified forms in nanocomposites. Halloysite nanotube can be intercalated with catalytic metal nanoparticles made of silver, ruthenium, rhodium, platinum or cobalt, thereby serving as a catalyst support.[5]
Besides supporting nanoparticles, halloysite nanotubes can also be used as a template to produce round well-dispersed nanoparticles (NPs). For example, bismuth and bismuth subcarbonate NPs with controlled size (~7 nm) were synthesized in water. Importantly, when halloysite was not used, large nanoplates instead of round spheres are obtained.[18]

-It's also the most cost effective feedstock for HPA

*Pure Halloysite goes for $3,000-$5,000 a ton.

Where ADN and Halloysite become very interesting is in what it can do on a molecular level.
It's becoming the “Swiss army knife” of materials.

A picture is worth a thousand words...well here's what the world's research scientists think of Halloysite.

In the past 10 years...patent applications that contain the word Halloysite.
*This chart is a few years old and from what I've heard...the past 2-3 have been a gold "Halloysite" rush towards Halloysite research.
Even ADN has gotten on on the act, which is painfully obvious that they should.

In May of this year Andromeda Metals created a JV out of the University of Newcastle.
    From the press release...
to undertake research and hold title to any intellectual property developed in relation to new technology innovations created
for halloysite application and uses along with the commercialisation of potential opportunities.

However they are just jumping on the band wagon.
University's and research houses are well embedded into their research world-wide.

Ok, ok...Research sounds good but, they research everything...how does this help me.
Well, it's WHAT they are researching that should be of interest.

This Nano Tech research is looking into...

    -Thermal energy storage.
    -Polymers.
    -Environmental remediation.
    -Wound dressing and tissue engineering.
    -Anti-inflammatory agents.
    -Water filtration.
    -Storage of gases.
    -Environmental and bio-sensors.
    -Many, many more...

However, the one that screams out at me for on few levels is a chemotherapy replacement.
The current delivery system is a sledgehammer designed to crack nuts, so to speak, and it is painful and debilitating, with possible long-term negative effects, even if successful.
I've personally seen this first hand with a family member who had terminal cancer and fought hard for 2 years.

*Could Halloysite possibly be a future deliver system of cancer fighting medicines?

I don't pretend to understand it exactly but, the Halloysite has a tubular structure and it is EXTREMELY unique in the Nano Tech world.
It lets scientist try all sorts of things.

Much of the above was found from a must read (if your truly interested in Halloysite research)
The Rise and rise of Halloysite
    https://pubs.geoscienceworld.org/claymin/article/51/3/303/311537/the-rise-and-rise-of-halloysite

This is a another good article on Halloysite and ADN.
    https://finfeed.com/small-caps/mining/halloysite-central-to-andromedas-market-dominance/

Halloysite-kaolin is a high value industrial mineral that is growing in demand, whilst global supplies are reducing.
It's the reducing of global supply while ADN comes online and a future powerhouse supply with close to monopoly like market strength, that truly exciting as a ADN shareholder.

Basically, Halloysite has been around a while but, the unique material and it's resources size and current and future demand are only starting to be understood by the market.

I'll be adding as many articles on Halloysite research as I can in this thread...hopefully everyone does the same and this thread is used as a learning tool for future investors who are interested in investing in ADN and it's 3 Halloysite-kaolin assets in SA.

    IMO
    DYOR!!
