Thats the standard text from the ASX that appears in its trading halt announcement.
Read the trading halt request issued by Leightons:
Leightons requested the trading halt until the commencement of trading on the 20th. The trading halt was requested in advance of an announcement to be made before the commencement of trade on the 14th.
The entitlement prospectus also repeats this:
Leighton shares are expected to remain in trading halt until Wednesday, 20 August 2008.
The prospectus contains a timetable of what will be happening before the 20th. They would only start trading early if the institutional offer and bookbuild is completed early.
