What does diligent know of cowards as he sits in his comfortable chair with clean water, clean food, clean air and a safe protective environment. He knows nothing and neither do most of us on this forum. Just like the soldiers of the Israeli army, Hamas fighters would display the full spectrum of valour and both groups deserve our respect for their individual courage. If there are real cowards perhaps we should be looking towards those of us doing the unjustified blanket branding as we hide our identities behind pseudonyms.
The real condemnation should be reserved for the politicians on all sides who stood back and allowed Hamas to launch their puny rockets and Israel to impose a starvation blockade for year after year after year.
What level of petulant arrogance do leaders display when they deliberately allow a situation like Gaza to fester for so long?
Why has the blockade been sustained for so long?
Why no real negotiations?
Why so much unquestioning international support for both Hamas and Israel?
What real need is there for so much destruction and human suffering?
