So he should "shut up" or else he is doing "nothing"? Wouldn't "shutting up" be doing even less than he has already done? That said, how do you know he didn't also try to intervene in other ways?
All a journalist can reasonably do is report what he sees. As usual the Jewish angle is/was to shoot the messenger, and ignore the report.
