Yes, the US has and still does give Israel much $$ aid.

But it has given MORE $$ aid combined to the Arabs.

Look at the aid it gives Egypt. And look at the arms that Egypt buys? Who and what for? Any country threatening Egypt with war?

Egypt was getting state of the art weapons from the Soviet Union.....which was matching whatever it was that the Israelis were getting from the US.

So were the other Arab countries.

Now the money that the US gives Israel is spent on arms which are manufactured in the US.

In other words, to a large dregree instead of the US paying out dole and social service money it uses that same money to create jobs.

A form of creative accounting, I would say.

Also, the US during the Cold War needed to know what was the state of the art of the Soviet weapon making capacity.

The USA got all that information, not only information, but intact brand new military hardware, tanks, planes, you name it the US got it.

The price....Israeli blood.

The Israelis were on the battle front, not the Americans.

So Israel and the US owe each other. And will do so for a long time.......

And the damn French. Remember before the 73 War, the Israelis were supposed to get French Mirages, that they PAID for?

The French kept the money but would not supply the planes.

The Israelis stole the planes off them and then stole the plans to make them....

That's what I call paying someone back...with interest.

To sum it up, American battle tactics both on the ground and in the air were honed up at the expense of the Israelis.

The Americans know this, and remember it...just like she will remember which of her allies sat on the fence this time round.

Despite what you read from whacko posters here, this is not a Zionist plot.

The US has finally woken up that it is hated, and understands that it's not because of Israel. It is true that it is hated more because of Israel, but if someone hates you enough to kill you and your wife and the rest of your family and next door neighbours, what does it amtter if he hates you a little more because you have a Jewish aquaintance?

He already hates you to death.

What more can he already do with such hate instilled through jelousy?

So, you may as well side with the Jewish aquaintance who you know is on the same side as you and will do his bit to watch your back.

Zionists want to survive....so do Americans......That is their common goal.

And people with common goals, work together. No need for one to control the other. They work in tandem, each one doing what he is best at.
