Re "You were talking about a ceasefire , remember...not deaths ." There was a ceasefire. Only one side tried to observe it. I'm tolerating a wiki page (that has endless pages of modifications) as evidence What it does highlight is the nonsense people talk when they suggest Palestinians are not interested in a 2 state solution. The one time in the last so many decades, when they go through the political process and a party legitimately wins handsomely on a 2 state manifesto, and the aftermath sees a 4 week onslaught from Israeli forces. Just how they started in 1946, when they were blowing up British forces, through to today - nothing different. Re "ignoring the reality of Hamas' control, and that they chose to use Islamic Jihad (and perhaps other groups) as their proxies ." Not according to multiple independent reports at the time.

"...the nonsense people talk when they suggest Palestinians are not interested in a 2 state solution ..." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now you deflect by not only going off on a tangent (but I'll go there with you)...and by ignoring reality. This is what the Palestinians want...nothing less. Just read Articles 1 & 2 of The Palestinian National Charter:Palestine is the homeland of the Arab Palestinian people; it is an indivisible part of the Arab homeland, and the Palestinian people are an integral part of the Arab nation.
Palestine, with the boundaries it had during the British Mandate , is an indivisible territorial unit.
Map of the British Mandate. Then look at Palestinian symbols...2 states? No!
