There is an interesting slide in a presentation of ORI's showing the level of growth in urbanisation in China and the urbanised rate compared to other countries. It also carried a prediction for the rate in 2025 or similar from memory. I found it quite interesting.
I guess I was predicating that as long as the urbanisation continues in China and India (to a lessor degree) then demand for Australian resources should remain strong.
Like you I can't profess to being able to understand the validity of Chinese GDP growth rates, though i do feel it is somewhat inevitable that the urbanisation continues albiet the chance for bubbles in certain sectors is a viable concern IMO.
