I got into IMP for a number of reasons: The asset backing to MC ratio was so good! As geoff Lord said it was like putting money in the bank ie: very little downside. What about the upside?

1] The gas drilling - Lets face it will not be a "company maker" - I knew that when I bought my first parcel @ 1.2 cents. What I reckon the gas will provide is a steady, modest stream of income. Very nice for a spec stock to have.

2] Geoff Lord's involvement got me excited & so I bought another large parcel. One poster knocked me for over emphasising the involvement of Belgravia. Well we shall see! I notice even the IMP said: this "will provide Imperial with the capacity to more effectively develop & structure investment opportunities identified" and "as well as provide additional resource for other opportunities" and "these new associations will provide a structure to further grow the asset base of the company"

Point number 2 is the biggie IMO!!! No way did Geoff Lord say "hey guys, you seem nice fellas! Here is a a couple of million dollars of mine to spend as you like" - BEFORE the deal was done Lord & they company had IMO identified what they had in mind to do. C'mon people understand how this all works please.

All I am saying is: The gas is nice - BUT not the main deal! Expect news fairly soon on what Lord & McLeod have in mind for IMP.

    cheers
