The Director, Manufacturing is responsible for leading OPT-302 cGMP production operations (drug substance, drug product and finished goods as needed) at contract manufacturing locations around the world. The Manufacturing Director oversees Opthea’s external manufacturing strategy, establishes and orchestrates a network of contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) delivering product in support of clinical studies, commercial launch and ongoing commercial supply operations. Specific job duties include production planning and scheduling, contract oversight and invoicing management, troubleshooting and advising on technical production issues, quality investigation support and change management, batch record review and approval, CMC authoring support, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and inspection preparation leadership. Additionally, this position coordinates production operations with other functionalities within Opthea such as Clinical Management, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Process Development.
