While I consider myself scientifically literate, my knowledge of medicine—and particularly ophthalmology— at best very limited.
I’m trying to understand: Are you suggesting that the apparently challenging-to-treat condition known as Retinal Angiomatous Proliferation (RAP) acts as a confounding factor that is evenly distributed across the predominantly classic, minimally classic, and occult lesion groups mentioned? 3B not including RAP confounders is expected to see increased statistical outcomes with all groups?

BCVA - What does 3, 4 or 5 letter mean?

What does an improvement of 3 or 5.5 letters on the BCVA scale actually mean in practical terms? If someone can't see the top three letters on the first or second line of an eye chart, such as 20/200 or 20/100, their quality of life could be significantly impacted. The ability to discern those top three letters can make a profound difference. On the other hand, improving by 5.5 letters from line 11 to line 10 might just help my batting average against professional spin bowlers in cricket, nice but I don't need a needle in the eye once a week. I’m interested in how these 3, 4 or 5 letter improvements translate into real-world visual improvements for patients.
