G'day Taboon, a JV with Hanlong can't be ruled out, but if Hanlong have the upper hand, the deal will no doubt favour them terribly.
Vwboy, that has pretty much been the boards official line for the past 3 years. Advanced negotions, due dilligence, negotiating with a number of interested parties, hopeful of successfully concluding negotiations with strategic partners etc etc.
What do I think of it? I think it is just their official line, to try and reassure shareholders and the Cameroon Government that everything is ok, and to try and keep the pressure on iterested parties. If they cam out and said that it is unlikely that negotiations will result in an agreement in the near future, shareholders would lose faith and sell out, it would display weakness in front of possible strategic partners and the Cameroon Government would get frustrated that the project is no closer to becoming a reality.
So Vwboy, What do you think of the board when they say they are in advanced commercial negotiations with a potential JV partner after due dilligence?
