Dare I suggest that the increase in share price this calendar year is a rerating of SMR. If so, dare I further add - long overdue. That said, I suppose the difference between SMR and other coal companies is that SMR has less exposure to thermal coal and due to the BMA acquisition has debt to repay rather than distribute the "rivers of cash" as dividends.
Also seems to be some good news coming out of China which should help demand for metallurgic coal going forward.
Of course there is also the chance that someone in finance has "leaked" the half year numbers and their mates have going crazy buying the shares (I think this is Semi-efficient market theory). Or an M&A deal is developing and the share price is moving accordingly. Or a combination of both (and the re-rating)......
