Have a great birthday, WL. A bit of homespun wisdom from one who has been through it. The 30?s and 40?s were basically full of fear of failure, and some have good reason for that.

I personally found that turning 50 was a weight off my shoulders because so many expectations were removed. Regular contributors to this forum are more than likely comfortable financially unless you have the philosophy that he who dies with the most toys wins.

My advice is to sit back now and enjoy the fruits of your labours if you are in a position to do so. The major concern now is your health. If that is good, life is great.
