I received an e-mail response from Duncan himself, with regard to my criticism of the way that the JV announcements were communicated to the market.
Basically Duncan said
' . . . I could mount a strong argument in support of the original statement. It did seem prudent however to qualify it very slightly . . . '
Not sure how much can be read into that statement, but Duncan seems very confident that the JV will go ahead.
Anyway, I'm going to hold on find out whether the JV eventuates.
