hmmmm 17yo grand daughter's view, when Mr Abbot was Prime Minister Mr Shorten looked sick and worried, he seemed to have a lollipop head (very skinny body with large head) but he just didn't look well and when he spoke he didn't sound confident, now with Mr Turnbull as Prime Minister , Mr Shorten seems to be the person to speak on behalf of Australia, what I mean is that the press put him and his opinion of what is happening on before they put the view of the Prime Minister. Her final comment was, I think Mr Shorten was worried about Mr Abbott but feels he has a jump on Mr Turnbull. This is from a discussion paper she wrote last year in year 12. I just came across it when clearing out her school paperwork the other day. I find it interesting to say the least.
