    Joalsa,

"of late, i have become a little disturbed that some may view my posts as trading tips rather than an expression of my thinking ......which i would rather others either challenge or contribute their thoughts."

I don't think you should feel disturbed by that at all. People read forums to learn or get a better understanding. Your and other's post are valuable contributions to that. Does it matter if others (except for regular posters) also learn?

I am a long-term investor (our livelyhood comes from dividends) but I enjoy the occasional trade. Reading forums such as this gives me a better understanding of where we MIGHT be within the cycles - much better than reading papers etc. That is my only purpose of reading.

Is it so bad that some (like myself) might buy stock (my own favourites) believing we are somewhere near bottom...

And what does it matter should anyone use your posts as a trading tip - after you buy/sell and others do the same it only enhances your position.

I am not a chartist but can see trends. I don't recognise indicators very well but the topic does interest me.

If everybody would stop posting believing some may see it as trading tips there would be no forum anymore.
