They came from the same place, yes but they didn't start off with a $250+m valuation, that is valuation befitting quite a mature company. As noted above Atlassian is valued at $2bn with a 15 year track record, $200m in annual recurring and fairly mature software product.
Apples and apples. We know that valuations can run ahead of themselves in this space and allow investors to make hefty profits but you have to keep things into perspective, the fundamental may never catch up to Salesforce, Xero , Workday.com, Box.com etc etc, those are established enterprise software companies.
