They are consumer software companies. Snapchat, twitter, Instagram, Whatsapp, are all valued depending on the number of MAU - monthly active users. Twitter and Instagram have over 250m monthly actives. At $40 per active user the company valuation is XX. Thats how consumer tech companies are valued.

Very different to 1 Page which is a SaaS product for enterprise rather than advertising consumer platform.

1 Page bought Branch Out for $2 million and 7 million shares when it was trading at $0.50.

Who knows how many of BranchOuts user were active at the time of purchase, by judging by the acquisition price of $2m plus stock, I'd say not many and no where near the size of Linkedin's active user base.
