2 mins on SPE database has yielded this.. keep in mind this is up the road, but as i have already included the clause "this is exploration" i stand by my position

    This paragraph is my favourite:

    "Composition of Paleo-Formation Waters

Paleo-formation waters generally only exist as microscopic
inclusions trapped during mineral growth or in healed
fractures. These inclusions isolate the trapped formation
waters from the pore network so they preserve the original
fluid at the time of mineral growth14. The composition of
individual fluid inclusions cannot be readily measured but can be derived using a microscope mounted heating-freezing
stage. The temperature of ice melting within inclusions is
related to salinity for the NaCl system15 and the temperature of dissolution of salts crystallized from the fluids is related to the trapping temperature.
An earlier study10, to assess the aqueous and hydrocarbon
fluid history, examined a suite of samples from the Stairway Sandstone and

    Pacoota Sandstone,

    intersected in PV7 using
petrographic, fluid inclusion and isotopic techniques.
Petrographic examination2 revealed a generalized paragenetic sequence of diagenesis (Fig. 8) consisting of minor pyrite, feldspar dissolution, haematite and chlorite grain coating, illite

and quartz overgrowth development and cementation.

However, within individual units mineral growth was shown
to be complex and overlapping (Fig. 8). Thermometric data
from fluid inclusions, summarized in Table 2, allow fluid
associated with mineral growth in fracture porosity and
cements to be characterized in the context of time, temperature and hydrocarbon generation and migration."
