What a buyer!!!!!!!
Harbinger from what I can gather started buying FMG when Andrew Forrest sold some 3.0m shares @ $4.50, when the stock was trading around $2.50 to $3.00 to give some Funds a platform to acquire an initial significant holding---what a marvel he is!!!!!!
Since then they have:
1) 5th May 05 taken a $35.0m con note at $4.50 plus started buying on market around $2.50
2) 4th July 05 First major shareholder notice.Rough calculations only check notices yourselves.
Increased holding from 11.7m to 13.9 at a cost of $6.2m at an average price of $2.80 per share
3) 8th Sept 05 Increased holding from 13.9m to 16.1m at a cost of $8.7m at an average of $4.00 per share
4) 27th Oct 05 Increased holding from 16.1m to 18.8m at a cost of $11.6m being $4.30 per share
5) 2nd Mar 06 Increased holding from 18.8 to 21.7 at a cost of $14.4m being $4.50 per share
6) 22nd Mar 06 Increased holding from 21.7 to 24.0 at a cost of $11.5m being $5.00 per share
7) 1st May 06 Increased holding from 24.0m to 26.3m at a cost of 16.3m being $7.10 per share
8) 11th May Increased holding from 26.3m to 35.5m at a cost of $12.3m for 1.4m shares on market @ $8.80 per share and converting 7.8m con note @$4.50 total cost $43.9m being an average @ $4.80 per share
9) 11th Oct 06 Increased holding from 35.5m to 38.3m at a cost of $28.6m being $10.20 per share
10) 23rd Oct 06 Increased holding from 38.3m to 40.7m at a cost of $24.1 m being $10.00 per share
11) 18th Sept 06 Increased holding from 40.7m to 44.3m at a cost of $31.8m being $8.80 per share
12) 10th Oct 06 Increased holding from 44.3 to 48.4m at a cost of $38.2m being $9.30 per share.
13) 1st Dec 06------ Eventually they sell some-------
Reduced holding from 48.4m to 37.9m by buying 2.7m at a cost of $26.4m being $9.80 per share and selling 13.2m for proceeds of $147.8m being $11.20 per share
14) 16th Jan 07 Increased holding from 37.8m to 41.5m at a cost of $31.5m being $8.56 per share.
Since this notice I dont think there has been any more and they have just watch their investment appreciate to $22 plus dollars.
This all adds up to an outlay of around $200m for 41.5m FMG shares for a 15% holdin worth around $900plus million
Calculations are only rough and please look at all shareholder notices
Here's hoping they want 15% of NIA not just 6%
