I'm not worried about the article. I understand that Tassal is a big target in Tasmania, as the locals seem to be deeply divided between two extremes; conservationists and developers.

It's a shame that the media harvest the low hanging fruit of company bashing, and seem to ignore that fact that Tassal is the only Salmon Farmer in the world to have Aquaculture Stewardship Council certification across all its pens. They are working hard to reduce their environmental footprint, and I applaud their efforts.

It's one of the reasons I invested. I am a bit of a greenie myself, but we all have to eat, and we all have to earn a living.

I have a pragmatic view of Tassal's position.
They know they are a high profile company, and they know that media scrutiny will hold them to account and keep them on their toes.
This makes them a better company, in my opinion.
