Friends of mine have recently bought a new puppy as they have chosen not to have children of their own. As they both work I asked how the puppy was doing on her own. I was told one party had been given maternity leave to look after the pup, as she would not be having children of her own. Her boss thought this was fair. This person works for a semi government power company. Doesn't sit right with me that is going to far.
