One of my friends, a Pommy tradesman (sheet metal worker) migrated here 5 years ago. He had to meet a string of requirements, including verification of trade papers, Speak English, be under 35, he and his family had to pass medicals including aids test, asthma, etc, he received no medicare benefits, no opportunity for any centrelink payments, and had to lodge $20,000 with the Govt as security until he was able to gain Citizenship. (2 or three years) He also had to have a valid job offer and they checked to see if he was in that Job twice in two years.
Why do the illegals even get anything at all?
On Manus they even get given cigarettes.
They should be made to work, and grow their own food.
