Perhaps they could go with a Laminated Paper and Shopping Bag construction, with Sikaflex. Also Solar and Tidal powered propulsion could be incorporated, to offset the increase in nasty plastics floating in the oceans.
CLAG is so 60's, you've got to move with the times, cobber. And I'd go with the Crimsafe flyscreen doors, for added defence capability.
